It's not about “letting” or not letting your spouse or partner travel without you, but it's definitely an open door that could be hard for people who have ingrained and built in insecurities. Trust is everything in a relationship, and if it's broken then there's no 100% way to repair it.

Stay-at-home mom desires freedom to travel alone on a solo trip with other female internet friends, husband battles with letting her go, but ultimately concedes, the internet applauds his maturity
Solo travel is one of the most rewarding things a person can do, in my opinion. It's more than confidence in yourself to plan, execute, and do the whole trip alone. You have a different energy when you solo travel, and everyone around you can feel it. It's magnetic, and there's a serendipitous magic to solo travel that just doesn't naturally come when you travel with others.
I traveled all around the world alone, I went to Europe, the Middle East, and the United States and met so many crazy characters and memorable friends. In this story, the stay-at-home mom is traveling sort of solo. Solo in the sense that her husband and children won't come with her. She's made female friends online and they're excited about a book club of sorts. They all want to meet somewhere to go to a book signing. It takes a lot of trust to feel comfortable with your spouse flying elsewhere to travel and meet up with people they met from the internet, but the protagonist in the story trusts his wife completely. He lets her go, and the internet appreciates his trust in her.
